Survivor Graduated with Hopeful Healing
Six years ago Crime Survivors met a very young domestic violence survivor at a Buena Park hotel where she was badly bruised and had six small children. She told us that she stayed with her abuser because he would buy milk for her babies. CSI provided support, resources, hopeful healing and through the years holiday meals, gifts for her children, therapy, words of wisdom, and support for her education. Our relationship helped to break the cycle of victimization in her life and set an example for her children. Because of the support of Crime Survivors, she has just graduated college. She made a point to show us that she no longer has bruising and that she was no longer victimized and could provide milk and food for her babies free from abuse.
