EVENT: Annual Crime Survivors Awards Banquet
SUMMARY- Westminster CA., The non-profit organization, Crime Survivors, Inc. unites together Orange County and Los Angeles County Law Enforcement, Probation, Deputy District Attorneys, Medic Personnel, Victim Advocates, Non Profit Organizations and Survivors of Crime to collaborate and partner for one cause. This event is to recognize those who have gone above and beyond to empower a victim to survive and thrive.
This year’s event will be hosted by emcee, Tanya Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson in addition to special guest speaker, Jon M. Myers, Deputy Executive Officer, Legislation and Public Affairs for the California Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board (VCGCB).
Approximately 400 attendees will be at the event including but not limited to: Crime victims, Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchins, police chiefs, and several other elected officials and representatives from throughout Southern California.
Who we are…Crime Survivors is committed to serving our community by being an advocate and resource for crime victims and their families. If you don’t know where to turn, or are confused or frustrated with the public services that are available to you as you recover or seek justice, Crime Survivors can help.
Crime Survivors works in the community to make victims’ rights a top priority. We facilitate communication and cooperation across various public service, government and non-profit organizations to ensure that Victims’ rights are understood, and that the services victims are entitled to are received.
All victims of crime have the right and responsibility to survive.
